This tabulation volume presents findings from the 2015 QuickCompass of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response-Related Responders (2015 QSAPR) conducted by the Defense Research, Surveys, and Statistics Center (RSSC) within the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). This survey was conducted at the request of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO) as part of its ongoing evaluation efforts of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) programs towards sexual assault prevention and survivor support. The survey was designed to provide insights about SAPR responders-Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs) and Victims Advocates (VAs)-at military installations worldwide, to understand how effectively responders are trained for their positions, and their perceptions of how well their program is supported and executed.

This report describes the sampling and weighting methodologies used in the 2015 QuickCompass of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response-Related Responders (2015 QSAPR). The target population of the 2015 QSAPR consists of Defense Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP) certified Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs) and SAPR Victim Advocates (VAs) who are active duty, National Guard/Reserve members, or DoD civilian employees, in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or DoD agencies.

This report provides the results for the 2015 Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Reserve Component Members (2015WGRR). The overall purpose of the 2015 WGRR is to document the extent to which Reserve component members reported experiencing sexual assault in the 12 months prior to filling out the survey, the details surrounding those events, bystander intervention, and the members' perceptions of the effectiveness of sexual assault policies, training, and programs.

This report describes the statistical methodologies for the 2015 Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Reserve Component Members (2015 WGRR). The first section describes the sample design and selection of the sample. The second section describes weighting and variance estimation, as well as a comparison to the 2014 RAND Military Workplace Study. The third section describes the statistical tests used for the 2015 WGRR. The fourth section describes the calculation of location, completion, and response rates for the full sample and population subgroups. The final section contains the nonresponse bias (NRB) analysis.

This report contains tabulations of responses from the 2015 Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Reserve Component Members (2015 WGRR) conducted from August 7 to October 19, 2015. The 2015 WGRR continues a line of military sexual assault and sexual harassment research begun in 1988. DMDC conducted Joint Service surveys of active duty members on gender issues in 1988, 1995, 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2012. DMDC expanded this line of research to the Reserve Components in 2004, 2008, and 2012 and to the Service Academies in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014. Historically, DMDC gender relations surveys have been designed to estimate the perceived level of sexual harassment and sexual assault in the Services and to provide new information on a variety of consequences of sexual harassment and sexual assault experiences.

The distribution of 24 trace and minor elements in the feed and exit streams from a fluidized-bed combustor equipped with a pulse-jet baghouse for particulate control was investigated. Lignite feed was the major source of aluminum, barium, beryllium, iron, sodium and titanium entering the combustor. The limestone feed was the major source of calcium, magnesium and manganese entering the combustor. Both lignite and limestone were significant sources of chromium, cobalt, nickel, potassium, silicon, vanadium and zinc. Most of the elements left the combustion system in either the primary cyclone catch or the bed drain. The secondary cyclone and baghouse collected most of the remaining trace and minor elements. Particulate emissions to the atmosphere were very low ranging from 0.00026 to 0.00040 lb/10 exp 6 Btu. Emissions of trace and minor elements, which were also very low, are presented in this report. The cyclone/fabric filter system limited particulate emissions to extremely low levels of only 0.00026 lb/10 exp 6 Btu to 0.00040 lb/10 exp 6 Btu. Emissions, in the flue gas, of trace and minor elements were very low when compared to a well controlled conventional boiler and to environmental goals. The majority of the trace and minor elements left the FBC system in the primary cyclone catch and the bed drain. Emissions in the flue gas of many trace and minor elements were less than 0.1 percent of the total input to the FBC system. Trace and minor element material balance in FBC systems can be difficult to close unless problems with changes in bed inventory are minimized by long periods of steady state operation. The final assembly operations for completion of the Cb-1%-Zr, Hastelloy X, and 6061-T6 aluminum test modules were described. The tests performed were described and preliminary test results were listed. Final assembly operations of the Cb-1%-Zr core disclosed lack of ductility due to excess oxygen in the metal and internal surface inperfections in the tubing that required modifications in forming operations on the tubes at the upper header. Welding operations of the lap joint between the lower and upper headers of the core disclosed the need for extraordinary controls in fit and restraint to achieve satisfactory welds. The tendency of AGCI braze alloy (50% Au, 25% Ni, 25% Pd) to alloy with Hastelloy X, although less than with stainless steel, dictated a maximum of a single repair cycle using a lower melting temperature alloy. Preplaced braze alloy rings, held in place with a volatile acrylic resin, provided leak-tight tube-header joints in more than 99.5 percent of those attempted on the core. During final assembly operations of the aluminum core, it was learned that accelerated aging, which reduced the ductility of the tubing, made it necessary to modify the shape of the ends of the tubes to prevent splitting. The epoxy sealing material for the tubeheader joints proved to be partially effective at liquid hydrogen temperature and at temperatures of 300F to 350F. (Author)
